“As women of God we have resources that others don’t have, and it’s our Father’s desire that we tap into those resources. You may be in a season where you feel too busy to stop and reflect on the goodness of God. If that’s you, schedule some time to go on a personal retreat with God, your Maker, the lover of your soul, and create a retreat environment, even in your own house. Take a weekend to dwell in His presence. Put aside all electronics. Take your Bible, notebook or journal, your favorite worship music or worship Him acapella, and have the mindset of expectancy to hear words of encouragement from your Lord. There’s a song that says:
Turn your eyes upon Jesus
Look full in His wonderful face
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim In the light of His glory and grace
It’s in this place that you can allow the Spirit of the Lord to replenish you and assess your heart. What voice have you been listening to? Has God been the one influencing your thoughts and your heart and di- recting your steps? Have you been casting all your cares upon the Lord? Have you been allowing Him to stir within you visons, dreams and God-given pur- pose? As you lay all at His feet, it will position you for peace, joy, and renewal of your strength.”
